1. Camp Structure: Tracks

• Scenario: Unsure of which track to follow? (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, or Vocal)
• Solution: Think of the camp as a “choose your own adventure.” Decide where you feel you best fit on day one and adjust accordingly as you progress throughout the week. You have the flexibility to move between tracks based on your skill set and comfort level.


2. Combo Assignments and Schedule

• Scenario: Student Combo assignments will be emailed out on Tuesday morning.
• Action: Check your email for your combo assignment, and review the schedule for your combo’s time, location (room number), and instructor.
• Issue: If you haven’t received the email by 10:00 AM or if there’s any confusion about your combo.
• Solution: Visit the registration desk or consult with a volunteer, board member, or Alex for assistance.


3. Ensemble Placement and Mindset

• Scenario: Concerns about ensemble placement or feeling unskilled.
• Solution: Embrace the “Yes, Let’s” mentality. Use this opportunity to learn, grow, and support your fellow musicians. If you’re feeling challenged, focus on what you can learn from the experience.


4. Classroom Location Changes

• Scenario: Class locations are subject to change.
• Solution: Always check for updates on classroom assignments each morning. Be flexible and prepared to adapt to any changes. If uncertain, ask at the registration desk.


5. Vocalist Sessions

• Scenario: Vocalists are placed in an ensemble but want one-on-one sessions during combo times.
• Solution: A sign-up list for one-on-one sessions with vocal faculty will be posted in front of Room B120. The vocal faculty will manage this process. If there’s any confusion, speak directly with the vocal faculty.


6. Digital Copies of Camp Materials

• Scenario: Need help accessing a digital copy of the parking map, building map, daily schedule, or weekly schedule on your device.
• Solution: Visit the registration desk, and they will assist you in getting the digital copies onto your device.


7. Parking Lot and Gear Unloading on Day One

• Scenario: Difficulty with parking or unloading gear on the first day.
• Solution: Volunteers will be available to assist with gear loading and unloading. Follow the signs and directions provided by the staff to ensure a smooth process.


8. Lunch, Snacks, Beverages, and Parking

• Scenario: Issues with finding lunch, snacks, beverages, or parking.
• Solution: Visit the reception desk and ask for assistance from a volunteer, board member, or Alex Andersen, our friendly co-op student.


9. Technical Issues

• Scenario: Faculty members encounter technical issues in their teaching room.
• Solution: Consult with Alex, our co-op student, who is available to assist with any technical problems.


10. Instrument Repair Needs

• Scenario: An instrument needs repair during camp.
• Solution: Bring the instrument to the registration desk. We have a list of local repair shops and can help you arrange for quick repairs.


11. Health and Safety Protocols

• Scenario: A student or faculty member feels unwell or has concerns about health and safety.
• Solution: Immediately notify the registration desk. We have a first-aid kit available, and we can assist with contacting medical professionals if needed.


12. Lost and Found

• Scenario: A personal item is lost during camp.
• Solution: Check the lost and found at the registration desk. Report any missing items as soon as possible to increase the chances of recovery.


13. Emergencies and Issues During Camp

• Scenario: Any emergencies or unexpected issues arise during camp.
• Solution: Head to the registration desk to speak with a volunteer, board member, or Alex, who will help address your concern promptly.
