June Club Night

Join us for our next (and perhaps last??) Virtual Club Night on Wednesday, June 24th when we present another evening of creative works from isolated folks.  Our special guest Susannah Adams is no stranger to U-JAM members as she was an early participant in our Vocal Nights over ten years ago!  Since then, she has worked hard to achieve professional status and persue her musical dreams and goals.  Her masterclass and vocal night at last summer's Camp and Festival were a great success.

Although we have adapted to the new "normal" in terms of socializing and sharing music, experience with making music in isolation leaves us longing for live music.  Recent experiments with latency-reducing technology still has not been able to replace the rush of playing with live musicians creating spontaneously together.

Thank You to those who again donated a door fee after our last meeting.  We were able to pass along another cheque to the Arts On View Society (Hermann's Jazz Club).

MONTHLY CLUB NIGHTS

Club Nights are held monthly featuring a special guest mentor and a theme.  An open mic gives an opportunity for instrumentalists and vocalists to perform with our house band.

Mentors offer performance tips and share personal stories. There is a $10 cover charge or $5 if you are a U-JAM member

Charts:  please bring three copies of two songs you have prepared.  Be sure they are printed single-sided and in the key that suits your voice/instrument.   Lead sheets work well.   Also give some thought to the arrangement including intro, ending, form, etc.   If you need help preparing a chart, let us know and we will do our best to help you with this.
